TheTourLab Point System

At TheTourLab, there are mainly two ways to earn points.

1. Points from
Product
Reservations

Eligibility

You will earn points when you reserve and use any TheTourLab product.

However, points are not awarded when paying in local currency.

* Flight tickets and Air-tel packages are not eligible for point accumulation.

Points are not awarded for Baht payments.

Membership Benefits

Points are awarded differently depending on the membership level.

Silver Member

Members with no confirmed reservations after registration

No points awarded

Gold Member

Members with at least one confirmed reservation

3% points for cash payments, 1.5% for credit card and easy payment

VIP Member

Members with total payments over KRW 3,000,000 in the last 5 years

4% points for cash payments, 2.5% for credit card and easy payment

Cash payment includes KRW bank transfer, virtual account, and real-time transfer.

• Travel agency members are subject to separate criteria.

After registering as a travel agency member and receiving approval from TheTourLab, you can log in and check details on point accumulation.

When Points Are Awarded

Reservation → Payment (excluding Baht payment) → Reservation confirmation → After product use, points are awarded the next day (for hotels, the day after checkout) when you post a Real Review or Travel Review.

Notes

• You cannot use points on the same reservation in which they are being earned.

• Baht payments do not earn points, cannot use previously earned points, and do not affect membership level.

• For reservations paid with points, you will still earn points on the remaining amount paid.

• The point system for TheTourLab World (all hotels worldwide excluding Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Guam) is applied separately.

2. Points from
Writing Posts

Eligibility

All TheTourLab members who participate in posting comments, location reviews on TheTourLab Compass, Real Reviews, or Travel Reviews will earn points.

Points Awarded

• Comment: 50 points (at least 15 characters) – up to 3 per day

• Compass Location Review: 100 points (at least 50 characters) – up to 10 per day

• Real Review: 200 points (at least 50 characters) – points are awarded only if you have a reservation for the product

• Travel Review: 1,000 points (at least 500 characters) – points are awarded only if you have a reservation

When Points Are Awarded

Points are awarded immediately after posting. (If the post is deleted later, the awarded points will also be deducted.)

Notes

• Posts in the reservation board or My Page are not eligible for points.

• Points earned through posts do not affect membership level.

• Duplicate content in Real Reviews, Travel Reviews, comments, or irrelevant content posted repeatedly for the purpose of “point farming” will be considered disruptive to the community. Points will be deducted, and any reservations paid with such points may be canceled.

• Points are only awarded if the product has been reserved.

Detailed Guide on Points

1.

Value: 1 point equals 1 KRW in value.

2.

Minimum Usage: You can use at least 5,000 points when making a payment of 10,000 KRW or more.

3.

Use of Points: Points can be freely used like cash for all product reservations (not available for Baht payments). For reservations using points, additional points will be awarded on the remaining paid amount.

4.

Validity: 10 years (points not used within the validity period will automatically expire).

5.

Ownership: Points can only be used when the reservation is made under your name and the confirmation voucher is issued in your name. Points cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged to others for any reason (including death, personal issues, or legal enforcement). Upon withdrawing from MonkeyTravel, all points will be forfeited and cannot be reused.

6.

Usage: Points cannot be refunded in cash under any circumstances and can only be used for MonkeyTravel product reservations.

7.

Others: The point system is a benefit provided by MonkeyTravel. Depending on policy changes, the system may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled in part or in full, which may affect the value of points already earned. The system may also be interpreted and applied at the discretion of MonkeyTravel’s operating policies.
